Frequently Asked Questions: Anointing in POE2
What are Distilled Emotions used for in POE2?
A: In POE2, Distilled Emotions combine the functions of Oils and Delirium Orbs from the first game. Their main uses are:
1.Anointing Amulets: Combine three Distilled Emotions to apply a powerful passive skill directly onto your amulet.
2. Enhancing Waystones: Use an Emotion on a Waystone to add a Delirium effect to your map. This increases the map’s difficulty but also significantly improves its rewards, making it great for farming.
3. Trading: Like any valuable item, you can trade Distilled Emotions with other players for currency.
How do you anoint an Amulet in POE2?
A: It’s simple! Just right-click on a Distilled Emotion to open the anointing window. Place your Amulet (or Waystone) in the item slot, add the three Emotions for the combination you want, and click the ‘Apply’ button.
Unlike in POE1, you no longer need to visit a specific NPC like Cassia. You can do it anywhere, making the process much faster and more intuitive.
